Basically, content marketing is the:
- Art of communicating with your customers and prospects without selling
- It is non-interruption marketing
- Instead of pitching your products or services, you are delivering information that makes your buyer more intelligent.
- The essence of this content strategy is the belief that if we, as businesses, deliver consistent, ongoing valuable information to buyers, they ultimately reward us with their business and loyalty.
This just makes so much sense! Each and every one of you Entrepreneurs have so much to share! With your experience, skill and expertise, this should be a no brainer! Frankly, I am totally turned off when people just want to sell me something!
I totally believe in supporting other small business entrepreneurs - but I support those that have the qualities that I have. People are looking for a connection - they are looking for products and services but they want to support those that are loyal, hard working, honest etc.
We are constantly on a learning curve - there is so much out there! But being true to your self - knowing what you want, understanding your clientele, your target market, and knowing what they want and need is key!
Being the expert in your field is also key! But with content marketing, you are showing value, you are educating, you are NOT expecting anything in return - you want them to want to continue to follow you, learn more about you, have a connection with you!
