LinkedIn killed the WordPress App. Before, if you were a WordPress blogger, your blog posts would appear on your LinkedIn profile, once you enabled that app! And it would also display your LinkedIn connection blog feeds as well!
Pretty cool app! But LinkedIn has changed a few things and this app is no longer available to us! So, in reviewing one of my group discussions, (which by the way you should be participating in (in LinkedIn), Twitterfeed was mentioned and it was widely accepted and recommended.
So, I went to TwitterFeed - signed up for their "FREE" account and added my Facebook, LinkedIn and Twitter accounts. Now, all of my posts will be automatically fed to these respective accounts! Pretty cool huh? It was timely, easy, and quick to set up! I actually set up two blogs to have their posts feed to these three main accounts.
What is Twitterfeed?
Twitterfeed is a utility that allows you to feed your content (for example, blog posts or any other content that supports RSS feeds) to:
It enables publishers to bring content to a wider audience and track the performance through real-time stats. Twitterfeed takes your RSS feeds and sends new items to the social platforms of your choosing (Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn.). You can customize the format of the posts in the ‘Advanced Settings’ of your feeds.
What is an RSS feed?
RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. RSS feeds make it possible for content publishers to syndicate that material across the web (from one to many). Twitterfeed uses a blog’s RSS feed to share the content.
You can post to more than one platform - example - I have two separate Facebook Accounts - I can post to both of them with Twitterfeed. I also have (3) different blogs - yes, I know, some would think that this is alot of work to do! But for me, it works. Let me explain:
Judysbusinessblog - this is where I post all my business tips and info that cover a wide spectrum of topics - this is for all of us entrepreneurs to learn from and to utilize
Social Media Blog- this one is strictly for social media subjects - like facebook, linkedin, twitter, pinterest, youtube, google etc.
Personal Reflections- this one here is all about me - more of the personal side where I talk about nutrition, health issues, fun things like my horseback riding exploits etc.
Now, I am not saying that YOU need to have 3 different blogs - I am just saying that this works for me - sometimes, when you mix too much together your target audience gets confused and isn't sure what the heck you do - there is an art to combining more then one type of skill or expertise into one blog/website format.
Check out Twitterfeed - your posts will automatically go to your (3) main accounts - and this is all Free! Let me know how you fared with Twitterfeed!
