Last week, I went to San Francisco for an Email Marketing Seminar put on by Constant Contact!
Now, grant you, I was born and raised in California – I have been to San Francisco several times – however, GARMIN did not know the streets well at all.
In going around the blocks, finding the Moscone Center, (like where did that come from?) and other places of interest – was not the same as me finding San Francisco University on Market Street! And Garmin was saying – turn right – when right was the WRONG way on a one way street!
Needless to say, I was a bit flustered, but found the parking garage and the event, and wanted you all to know that it was well worth it!
Please Click Here - to see the email campaign I sent out. However, I am going to have a FREE Webinar – and if you would like to attend please Join My Mailing List to the right!

It sure feels good to figure out how to do things! I figured out how to add Chad’s own art work to his blog – I utilize Adobe Photo shop to do my resizing and manipulation of photos – but knowing the correct directories and uploading to servers – can be a definite pain in the rear.
Excited where things are headed – check out the fan page to the right – there are links there for you to click on. Will be updating you on Email Marketing – and a scheduled Webinar that I am going to put on.
Good night!

Colors aren’t as clear-cut as words, but there is a loose meaning for most. And while color usage isn’t an exact science, hues definitely can influence the outcome of a direct mail campaign.
Blue Based Reds: such as ‘raspberry red’ are associated with more expensive products.
Stick with Yellow Based Reds – ‘like tomato red’ which is imagined as less expensive.
Use Orange to play up affordability.
Yellow - is the first color the eye sees, and when used with dark colors for high contrast e.g. black type on a yellow background, it becomes more powerful and more easily read.
Choose Green to convey possibility and hope.
Blue connotes confidence and safety, making it a great choice for financial and medical institution mailers.
Purple is especially hot right now, but it’s typically used with high fashion, sports teams or sweet treats e.g. chocolates or perfume rather than direct marketing.
Black conveys a strong sense of power, promise and the ability for high contrasts. Add sheen or matte to black, and it becomes more powerful.
White ‘especially when presented tone on tone, implies sophistication and formality – but also a high-end price point.

This came from Kim Komando - and it is just priceless – read on:
Instant messaging is a great way to communicate online. You can have in-depth conversations with friends and family. Or, you can fire off quick notes to co-workers. You just need the right program.
And that’s the problem. There are dozens of instant-messaging programs available.
Are your friends using AIM or Yahoo! Messenger? Are your co-workers on ICQ or Jabber? You don’t need gobs of instant-messaging programs on your computer. Just get Miranda IM Portable.
This program is compatible with most instant-messaging services. It covers the ones mentioned above. And you can add Google Talk, IRC, Windows Live Messenger and more to the list.
The program is also fully portable. There’s no need to install it. Just throw it on a handy thumb drive. Then plug it into any computer you happen to be using. And then you can chat away.
On the Kim Komando site – you can sign up for her daily tips and news – this site is phenomenal and I highly recommend it to all. Easy to understand for those that are a bit rusty in the techie area – and techie enough for those that need more advanced info.
